You may want to consider applying for a Freshman Honor Scholarship, which is funded by organizations that grant scholarship to excellent students. You will need to have a very high grade point average. You may want to apply specifically for this scholarship.

Keep in mind that there are others such as the Presidential Scholarship, the majority beneficiaries are honors college students. Also, the valedictorians and salutatorians of high schools may receive this scholarship.

The Presidential Scholarship is also renewable for up to eight semesters, depending on your annual grade point average. This covers some tuition payments, however, it does not cover all fees.

The point of the Presidential Scholarship is to select the scholars who are well rounded individuals and so they may excel in the area of creativity, sports, character or leadership skills.
